Namibian cuisine consists of plenty of meat. Street food isn’t big in Windhoek, but you can grab traditional Kapana (grilled meat) all over the city. Local fare can be found at Xwama Cultural Village. Xwama is situated in the heart of Windhoek’s most diverse and lively township- Katutura. The restaurant has an ethnic decoration that takes you back to the African roots at the same time having rich African and Namibian flavors nourishing your Body and Soul. This is the place I tried the sheep head. Unfortunately, the sheep’s head does not offer much meat. In fact, only the cheeks can be eaten. I did not try the brains because I was afraid to make too much mess if I would break the skull. I also did not eat the tongue because it stank. Watch the video below:
